Most European airlines fly to Athens. Additionally the Greek Airlines Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines have scheduled flights from various European countries. From Athens there are direct flights to Chania. During the summer season (mid April to mid October) there are direct charter flights to Chania. Check travel agencies that offer last minute seats and offers. Should you wish, the hotel can make all the necessary arrangements for your transfer to the hotel whether you come to Paleochora from the port, airport or by bus. The cost of your transfer fees are acknowledged upon request.
The transfer with a private car is made through Italy. You can take the ferry from Trieste, Venice, Ancona or Brindisi, all of which dock at the port of Patra. Next you need to drive to Piraeus and take an ANEK LINES or BLUE STAR FERRIES ferry to Crete. During the summer season, you can also travel from the southern Peloponnesus, Kalamata or Gytheio with ANEK LINES to Kasteli/Kissamos. However this is not a regular route and you need to check the schedule with the local authorities. Alternatively, you can combine a flight to Athens and the ferry from Piraeus and enjoy a few hours journey to Crete on the Aegean and Cretan Sea.
